description abstract	Purpose The purpose of this document is to guide personnel involved in the planning and implementation of S3 assessment and testing of munitions to enable appropriate evidence to be collected covering the entire life cycle. It gives an overview of the subject, indicates the benefits and rationale for the various elements of the programme and points to agreed munition specific test and assessment templates. It also indicates how acceptable tailoring of this process can be accomplished.
