description abstractREISSUANCE AND PURPOSE. This Directive:
Administratively reissues reference (a) to reestablish previous policy and assign responsibilities for the use of units and personnel of the Armed Forces under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of a Military Department in civil-military innovative readiness training (IRT) activities that result in support and services for eligible organizations and activities outside the Department of Defense, and which are not otherwise prohibited by law.
APPLICABILITY. This Directive applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Military Departments (including Coast Guard when it is not operating as a Military Service in the Department of the Navy under agreement with the Department of Homeland Security), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities in the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as "the DoD Components").
