description abstract	PURPOSE a. This Directive: (1) Establishes policy and administrative guidance for the Defense Senior Leadership Conference (DSLC), the Senior Leader Review Group (SLRG), and the Deputy's Advisory Working Group (DAWG) pursuant to the authority vested in the Secretary of Defense by section 113 of title 10, United States Code (Reference (a)). (2) Supersedes Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum (Reference (b)) and DoD Directive (DoDD) 5105.66 (Reference (c)). b. Nothing in this Directive limits the authorities or responsibilities of the Secretary or Deputy Secretary of Defense established in statute or in DoDD 5105.02 (Reference (d)). APPLICABILITY. This Directive applies to OSD, the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components").
