description abstractThis specification covers low-hydrogen, iron-powder type of covered electrodes, for the fabrication and repair welding of HY-130 steel to be heat-treated. Intended Use: This specification is intended to cover nickel-chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy steel mineral-covered welding electrodes depositing weld metal, that in the heat-treated condition meets the mechanical properties specified herein when welded on HY-130 steel with the shielded metal-arc process using direct current reverse polarity and the techniques specified herein. The primary use of these electrodes is for the welding of HY-130 steel for applications in the heat-treated condition.
