These requirements cover indoor and outdoor types of electric fence controllers that utilize either peak—discharge or timed—sinusoidal circuits to obtain the high voltage necessary to perform their intended function.
These requirements do not cover electric fence controllers of a continuous (uninterrupted) current type, electric fly screen, insect traps, or similar equipment; nor do they cover intermediate equipment such as converters, rectifiers, etc.
