Abstract

This drawing outlines the requirements for backshell hardware to be utilized by members of a family of compact high contact density (.025 inch) two piece nanominiature electrical connectors. These connectors are intended for printed circuit board, attached cable or fixed panel mounting/termination. This drawing details backshell hardware for single and dual row members of the nanominiature connectors family. <br>Connectors specified in this specific requirements drawing must be capable of operating in the following environments: <br>a. Temperatures from &#8722;65&#176;C to +125&#176;C with temperature cycling. <br>b. Attitudes from sea level to 21,336 meters (70,000 ft) <br>c. Moisture conditions up to 100{}elative humidity. <br>d. Dust and fine sand atmosphere. <br>e. Salt Laden atmosphere. <br>f. Vibration conditions to 20 g's. <br>g. Shock conditions up to 100 g's. <br>h. Free space vacuum environment <br>The complete part number shall be as specified on this item requirements drawing and constructed using the following format: <a><img alt="CHART" /></a> <br>The pin shall include three digits to identify the connector size, see <a>tables I</a> and <a>11</a>. <br>The PIN shall include 2 digits to identify the number of rows, single rows (01), double row (02). <b><u>Intended Use:</u></b> Connector backshells conforming to this drawing are intended for use when military specifications do not exist, and qualified military connector backshells that will perform the required function are not available for original equipment manufacturers applications. This drawing is intended to prevent the proliferation of unnecessary duplicate specifications, drawings, and stock catalog listings. When a military specification exists and the product covered by this drawing has been qualified for listing on a qualified product list (OPL), this drawing will be inactivated and will not be used for new design. The OPL product will then become the preferred item for all applications. <br>
