End connections covered herein are threaded, socket welding, solder joint, grooved and flared end in nominal pipe sizes 1/4 through 4 inch.
These valves are intended for on off operation and should be used for modulating or throttling service only when recommended by the manufacturer.
This Standard Practice covers ball valves of the following materials:
Carbon Steel, Alloy Steels, Stainless Steels, Grey Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Malleable Iron, and Copper Alloy.
