description abstractThis specification covers the requirements for two types of detonating cord assemblies (see 6.1). Intended Use: Generally, both Type I and Type II DCAs are intended as a rapid energy source to provide an explosive release signal in the aircraft emergency systems. Specifically Type II (CP) lines are used in areas requiring more flexure during their life cycle than Type I (standard) lines. Type II lines have a protective coating to prevent damage and are required to pass additional cycling tests. These items were specifically designed for use in these military aircraft, and thus have no commercial application.
