description abstractThis specification sheet covers requirements unique to the Rocket Motors, Mark 83 Mod 0 and Mark 85 Mod 0, hereinafter referred to as the "rocket motors" (see 6.1).
The rocket motors shall be of the following types as specified in the contract or purchase order:
Type I        Mark 83 Mods (low Yaw) Type II       Mark 85 Mods (high Yaw)


Intended Use: The Rocket Motors Mk 83 Mod 0 and Mark 85 Mod 0 are intended for use as a means of insuring proper trajectory divergence of the aircrew during an escape for the S-3 aircraft escape system. The Rocket Motor Mk 83 Mod 0 is also used in the T-A4 aircraft.
