| description abstract | This Code Case establishes the requirements for preservice and inservice testing to assess the operational readiness of active motor-operated valves (MOVs) in light-water reactor (LWR) power plants. The MOVs covered are those required to perform an active function in shutting down a reactor to the safe shutdown condition, in maintaining the safe shut-down condition, or in mitigating the consequences of an accident. This Code Case establishes test methods, test intervals, parameters to be measured and evaluated, acceptance criteria, corrective actions, and records requirements. | |
