Abstract

<u>REISSUANCE AND PURPOSE</u> <br>This Directive: <br>Reissues Reference (a) to update policy and responsibilities for DoD M&S management, per Reference (b). <br>Establishes the DoD M&S Steering Committee (M&S SC) under the provisions of Reference (c). <br>Authorizes the development of DoD Publications as needed and continues to authorize Reference (d), consistent with DoD 5025.1-M (Reference (e)). <br><u>APPLICABILITY</u> <br>This Directive applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components"). <br>This Directive applies to all M&S tools, data, and services developed, used, or managed by or on behalf of the DoD Components after the effective date of this Directive.
