| description abstract | The purpose of this document is to define the complete set of verification activities necessary to ensure ancillary hardware compliance with the SSP 57411 V1, Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG) Verification Plan Volume 1. The MSG ancillary hardware requirements verification matrix defines and controls ancillary hardware verification requirements to meet the International Space Station (ISS) Pressurized Payloads Interface Requirements Document, SSP 57000. This document is under the control of the MSG Facility Team and the MSG Facility Level Ill Configuration Control Board (CCB) will approve any changes or revisions. The requirements defined in this document apply to ground handling and processing, transportation and on-orbit phases of the ancillary hardware use. These items are considered stowage hardware, so there are no specific or unique verification requirements for transportation. The on-orbit requirements have been derived from SSP 57000, Pressurized Interface Requirements Document. NSTS 1700.7, ISS Addendum and NSTS 18798 provide the safety requirements for ancillary hardware design. KHB 1700.7 provides the ground safety requirements for processing at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). APPLICABILITY This verification matrix applies to the items listed in Appendix A, Ancillary Hardware Items. This matrix categorizes the items to the type of equipment, whether the item is to be built or purchased, and which items are qualified prior to purchase. Additional hardware and/or software items, in addition to the list in Appendix A will require an Engineering Change Request (ECR) to this document. This document does not track ancillary hardware quantities, which are documented and controlled via the Payload Data Library (PDL), Payload Configuration Data Set per a fright basis. | |
