| description abstract | This document describes the plans and guidelines for all tasks associated with providing EPB flight hardware, flight spares of the EPB, and necessary GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and STE (Special Test Equipment). Integration of this hardware into the External Tank DFI (Developmental Flight Instrumentation) subsystem will be executed under ET Project Management and is not part of this plan. Purpose: This document describes the plan to manage MSFC (Marshall Space Flight Center) development of the EPB (Excitation Power Box) for the ET (External Tank) Project in the Space Shuttle Program. This plan is consistent with development of OTS (Off the Shelf) hardware and will utilizes processes consistent with Marshall Work Instruction "Off-the-Shelf Hardware Utilization in Flight Hardware Development" (MWI 8060.1) and Space Shuttle Program COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) requirements in "Flight and Ground System Specification, Book 1" (NSTS 07700, Volume X, Book 1, Section 3.3.7). | |
