| description abstract | This standard shall apply to the design of venting systems for the emergency venting of products of combustion from fires in buildings. The provisions of Chapters 4 through 10 shall apply to the design of venting systems for the emergency venting of products of combustion from fires in nonsprinklered, single-story buildings using both hand calculations and computer-based solution methods as provided in Chapter 9. Chapter 11 shall apply to venting in sprinklered buildings. This standard shall not specify under which conditions venting is to be provided or required. Where a conflict exists between a general requirement and a specific requirement, the specific requirement shall be applicable. | |
