| description abstract | This standard contains minimum requirements for carbon dioxide fire-extinguishing systems. This standard includes only the necessary essentials to make it workable in the hands of those skilled in this field. Purpose. This standard is prepared for the use and guidance of those charged with the purchasing, designing, installing, testing, inspecting, approving, listing, operating, or maintaining of carbon dioxide fire-extinguishing systems, in order that such equipment will function as intended throughout its life. Nothing in this standard is intended to restrict new technologies or alternative arrangements, provided the level of safety prescribed by the standard is not lowered. Only those with the proper training and experience shall design, install, inspect, and maintain this equipment. | |
