description abstractThis specification covers the requirements and tests for production of a Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) all-band transponder, Navigational Set, AN/URN-25, hereinafter referred to as the navigational set, for use in conjunction with a TACAN antenna group to provide navigational information to aircraft. Intended Use: The navigational set, covered by this specification, is intended to be interfaced with a family of TACAN antennas for service on ship or shore facilities. The navigational set will provide distance, azimuth, and identification information to aircraft with properly equipped interrogators.
