description abstractRecent NASA spaceflight projects that have undergone IV&V of their mission software perceive the process as offering concrete benefits beyond those accrued through V&V performed solely by project personnel. The specific benefits accrued to four recent JPL spaceflight projects from participation by the NASA IV&V Center are discussed, and some recommendations for future IV&V programs are proposed.
