description abstractThis specification covers 300-ampere, direct-current, gasoline-engine-driven arc welding machines with an auxiliary power source. Intended Use: This specification covers three types of 300 amperes, direct current, gasoline driven arc welding machines with auxiliary power source. The welding machines are of the following types: (a) Type I welding machine is skid-base mounted for use in base and field shops and in shop trucks and trailers. (b) Type II welding machine is shop wheel mounted for use in base and field installation where movement of the welding machine is frequent over short distances within the installation. (c) Type III welding machine is trailer mounted for use in the field involving the towing of the welder over rough terrain as well as on hard surfaced roads.
