description abstractThis Standard specifies hubs to be used mainly for bicycles for general use, bicycles for young children, and motor assist cycles as defined in JIS D 9111. It is not applicable to those motor assist cycles whose auxiliary driving power unit is built into the hub, or motor assist cycles used for tricycles.

ISO 4210 : 1996 Cycles - Safety requirements for bicycles
ISO 6697 : 1994 Cycles - Hubs and freewheels - Assembly dimensions
ISO 6698 : 1989 Cycles - Screw threads used to assemble freewheels on bicycle hubs
ISO 8098 : 2002 Cycles - Safety requirements for bicycles for young children (Overall evaluation: MOD)
The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21.
