Abstract

This Standard specifies the test methods for seam strength of general textiles. <br>For tests performed in accordance with method A-3 (<strong>ISO</strong> method), the requirements in Annex A shall apply in place of those in clause <strong>5</strong>, clause <strong>6</strong> and clause <strong>8</strong>. <br>NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. <br>ISO 13935-2: 1999 <em>Textiles - Seam tensile properties of fabrics and made-up textile articles-Part 2: Determination of maximum force to seam rupture using the grab method</em> (MOD) <br>In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and <strong>JIS</strong> are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to <strong>ISO/lEC Guide 21-1</strong>.
