description abstractThis Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the external extruded polyethylene coated steel pipes (hereafter referred to as coated steel pipes) mainly used for underground 1) services of transporting gas, oil, water, etc. and protecting cables. This Standard is applicable to pipes of outside diameter 21. 7 mm (nominal diameter 15A or 1/2B) to 812.8 mm (nominal diameter 800A or 32B). The coated steel pipes are usually used at temperatures in the range of -20°C to +40 °C. Note 1) The underground referred to above includes the bottom of river, the bottom of sea, common ditch, etc.
