Abstract

Facts The TIA was processed by the Technical Committee on Standpipes, and was issued by the Standards Council on July 17, 2019, with an effective date of August 6, 2019. A Tentative Interim Amendment is tentative because it has not been processed through the entire standards development procedures. It is interim because it is effective only between editions of the standard. A standpipe system installed in accordance with this chapter shall be properly inspected, tested, and maintained by the property owner or an authorized representative in accordance with NFPA 25 to provide at least the same level of performance and protection as originally designed.
