description abstractThis standard deals with the installation, maintenance, testing and use of a proprietary protective signaling system which serves contiguous or noncontiguous properties under one ownership from a central supervising station at the protected property, where trained, competent personnel are in constant attendance. It covers the minimum requirements for operating personnel, the central supervising station, power supplies, signal initiation, signal notification, and automatic permanent visual recording of signals.
A device or system having materials or forms different from those detailed in this standard may be examined and tested according to the intent of the standard and, if found equivalent, may be approved.
