Vibration, Variable Frequency
Organization:
JEDEC - Solid State Technology Association
Year: 2010
Abstract: This method is intended to evaluate component(s) for use in electrical equipment. It is intended to determine the ability of the component(s) to withstand moderate to severe vibration as a result of motion produced by transportation or field operation. Vibration of this type may disturb operating characteristics, particularly if the repetitive stress causes fatigue. This is a destructive test intended for component qualification. It is normally applicable to cavity-type packages.
