Abstract: This specification covers extruded aluminum alloy armor shapes up to and including 2 inches in thickness (see 3.3 and 6.2).
Material furnished under this specification should be one of the following classes (see 6.2):
Intended Use: The aluminum alloy armor covered by this specification is military unique. The armor will be used in military vehicles to protect the operator and passengers against small arms fire and shrapnel.
