INSIGNIA, SHOULDER LOOP, COMBAT LEADER IDENTIFICATION

Abstract: This specification covers one type of insignia worn on the shoulder loop to designate combat leader. Intended Use: - Shoulder loop insignia covered by this specification are intended to be worn by Army personnel to indicate the wearer is designated a combat leader.
Lot expressed Sample Size Examination in units of Unit of product No. of units No. of units a. #insignia One folding or One folding or Up to 300 4 per folding or set-up box set-up box 301 or over 5 set-up box b. #folding One shipping One shipping Up to 3 All or set-up container container 4 to 6 3 boxes per 7 and over 4 shipping containerThe lot shall be unacceptable if any of the following are found: (a) Number of insignia per folding or set-up box. (1) The average number of insignia per box in sample is less than specified or the quantity marked on the box. (2) The number of insignia in any box is more than 5 percent under the quantity specified or the quantity marked on the box. (b) Number of insignia per shipping container - actual number of insignia per container is less than specified or less than quantity marked on container. - An examination shall be made to determine that packaging, packing and marking requirements of section 5 of this specification are compiled with. Defects shall be scored in accordance with defects list below. Sample unit shall be one shipping container fully packed, selected just prior to the closing operation. Defects of closure listed below shall be examined on shipping containers fully prepared for delivery. The lot size shall be the number of containers in the inspection lot. The inspection level shall be S-2 and the AQL shall be 4.0 defects per hundred units.
Examine Defect Marking (exterior Omitted, incorrect, illegible, of improper size, and interior) location, sequence or method of application. Material Any component missing. Any component damaged, affecting serviceability. Workmanship Inadequate application of components, such as, incomplete closure of case liners, container flaps, loose strapping, inadequate stapling. Bulging or distortion of containers.
