Abstract: Scope: This Standard specifies requirements for the friction welding of components manufactured from metals. It specifies requirements particular to rotational friction welding related to welding knowledge, quality requirements, welding procedure specification, welding procedure approval and welding personnel. NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. ISO 15620: 2000 Welding-Friction welding of metallic materials (MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
