JSA JIS C 2323-3-4

English -- Non-cellulosic papers for electrical purposes - Part 3: Specifications for individual materials - Sheet 4: Aramid fibre paper containing not more than 50 % of mica particles

Organization:
JSA - Japanese Standards Association
Year: 2016

Abstract: Scope: This Standard specifies requirements for three types of aramid fibre paper (hereafter referred to as papers) containing not more than 50 % of mica particles. Type 1 : calendered 1) paper Type 2 : uncalendered paper Type 3 : calendered paper, with lower density for laminating  Papers which conform to this Standard meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of material by a user for a specific application should be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this Standard alone. Note 1) Calendering means the process of passing paper between metal rollers or between a metal roller and an elastic roller to produce glazed and smooth or transparent papers by pressurization, heating and friction and to adjust paper thickness. WARNING Persons carrying out tests based on this Standard should be familiar with normal laboratory practice. This Standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this Standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices. NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. lEC 60819-3-4 : 2013 Non-cellulosic papers for electrical purposes - Part 3 : Specifica tions for individual ma terials - Sheet 4 : Aramid fibre paper containing not more than 50 % of mica particles (MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
