Abstract: This Standard specifies radiographic testing of metallic welds using X- and gammaray techniques with digital detectors. When the digital radiography is applied, its similarity to and difference from the film radiography, which are detailed in Annex JA, should be paid attention to. NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. ISO 17636-2: 2013 Non-destructive testing of welds-Radiographic testingPart 2: X- and gamma-ray techniques with digital detectors (MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
