Abstract: AIM
The aim of this agreement is to ensure that materials handling aids used by the NATO forces are functionally interchangeable and to establish standard safety procedures. This agreement does not absolve any nation or user of their additional obligations in complying with relevant national or international legislation regarding the safe use of materials handling aids described in this STANAG.
