PASSENGER AND CARGO VEHICLES; GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR MAINTAINABILITY FEATURES OF

Abstract: This specification covers maintainability features that are to be incorporated in passenger and cargo vehicles. Such vehicles include, but are not necessarily limited to, passenger buses and ambulances used for the movement and transport of personnel, and trucks, truck tractors, cargo carriers, trailers, semi-trailers, and trailer converter dollies used for the movement and transport of cargo and materiel. Intended Use: -The maintainability features required by this specification are intended for incorporation in passenger and cargo vehicles. The ultimate aim of this specification is to provide the Government with passenger and cargo vehicles capable of being maintained at acceptable service standards with an attendant reduction of maintenance costs and the conservation of manpower and material.
