Abstract: This specification covers the SQ85 Electric Squib, referred to herein as the squib. Intended Use: The SQ85 Electric Squib is used in the BQM-34 Aerial Target to sever the tail cone explosive bolt allowing the recovery parachute to deploy. As the squib is used in the BQM-34 Aerial Target only, it is military unique and has no commercial application.
