Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Residential Buildings

Abstract: Several questions have arisen from users of the standard and within the SSPC regarding requirements for installation and operation of mechanical ventilation systems.
The changes in this addendum are intended to clarify the requirements for complying with the standard.
The changes introduce a specific paragraph to address operation requirements (Section 4.4.2).
Note that the deletion of the last sentence in Section 4.4.1 does not remove the requirement to label controls.
These are still required per existing text in Section 6.2 “Controls and Labeling”.
Note: In this addendum, changes to the current standard are indicated in the text by under-lining (for additions) and (for deletions) unless the instructions specifically mention some other means of indicating the changes
