description abstract	Scope: FOREWORD This addendum revises Sections 4, 7 and 8. Section 4.1, “Building Designer Requirements,” now specifies that a building designer shall review the building design, and the requirement to survey a new building design has been removed. The requirement to delineate the height of either the discharge outlet or makeup valve relative to the overflow of the tower basin has been removed from Section 7.2.7, “Location of Cooling Tower Makeup Valve.” The requirement for the designer to provide detailed instructions for the commission of all building water systems has been removed from Section 8.4, “Commissioning.” Note: In this addendum, changes to the current standard are indicated in the text by underlining (for additions) and (for deletions) unless the instructions specifically mention some other means of indicating the changes.
