ENGINEERING DRAWING SYSTEM MANUAL DRAWING FORMAT, REQUIREMENTS, AND PROCEDURES
Organization:
JSC - NASA - JSC - Johnson Space Center
Year: 2000
Abstract: The EDS encompasses engineering drawings for hardware provided by JSC organizations. Additionally, this system applies to engineering drawings for flight hardware and applicable ground support equipment provided by a contractor to JSC, unless the JSC contracting officer, upon consulting with appropriate technical personnel, determines that the contractor's existing engineering drawing system is adequate (e. g., complies with MIL-STD-100), and that the benefits to be attained by converting to the JSC engineering drawing system do not justify the expense of doing so. Specifically exempted are facility drawings utilized by JSC laboratories that have a drawing system in compliance with LPG 1700.1
Applicable ground support equipment is defined as that equipment which 1) support launch, landing, retrieval site activities, as well as test and servicing equipment which interfaces with flight hardware, and 2) has the potential to cause personal injury or damage to flight hardware.
