Abstract

This specification covers the requirements for Naval shipboard tank level indicating equipment of the types specified herein. <br>The types of tank level indicating equipment shall be designated in the following form, as specified (see <a>6.1</a>): <a><img alt="CHART" /></a> <br>The basic indicator for Naval interior communication equipment shall be "IC/." <br>The types of gages shall be indicated as follows: </span><pre> S --Sonic type I --Inductive float type C --Capacitance type R --Radioactive float type FE--Lever and float type--tank edge FT--Lever and float type--tanktop</pre> <br> <br>The frequency of the supply voltage shall be indicated as follows: <pre> A--60 cycles B--400 cycles</pre> <br> <br>The name of the manufacturer, modification of original design, etc., shall be denoted by a dash followed by a number or a number and a letter assigned by the Bureau of Ships when drawings are approved. <br>
