Abstract: Scope: This guide describes the structure, application, and limitations of the Fire Safety Concepts Tree. Purpose. This guide is intended to provide tools to assist the Fire Safety Practitioner (e.g., Designer, Engineer, Code Official) in communicating fire safety and protection concepts. Its use can assist with the analysis of codes or standards and facilitate the development of performance-based designs.
