Abstract: This specification covers two types of bomb racks capable of carrying and releasing stores having suspension lugs spaced 14 inches (35.56 centimeters) apart and weighing up to 2,200 pounds (997.90 kilograms). The test limits in this specification define minimum acceptable capabilities.Intended Use: The bomb racks covered by this specification are intended for use, in level bombing and glide bombing. They are mounted either externally, as in an aircraft wing pylon, or internally, as in a bomb bay. They are intended for use on either land-based or carrier-based aircraft.
