Abstract: The IPC-2541 standard defines an XML encoding schema to facilitate plug-and-play characteristics in a factory's shop-floor information system. This standard describes the generic event message content, and should be used together with the IPC-2540 series sectional documents, which define the set of messages and key attributes of specific classes of equipment used in the electronics manufacturing area.
