Abstract: Scope: This standard deals with the laying of pressure pipes for water, gas and other fluids outside buildings, including those laid in ducts or conduits. It also applies to embedment backfilling work. This standard does not cover - the earthwork associated with the installation of pressure pipes (see DIN 18300), - timbering to trenchwork (see DIN 18303), - the installation of drainage systems inside buildings (see DIN 18381). DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18307 shall take precedence.
