Abstract: Scope: This International Standard specifies requirements and test methods for assessing the applicability of dental magnetic attachments that provide retention, support and stabilization of crowns and bridges, removable partial dentures, overdentures, superstructures of dental implants and orthodontic or maxillofacial prostheses including obturators. This International Standard does not specify qualitative and quantitative test methods for demonstrating freedom from unacceptable biological risk, which can be assessed using ISO 10993-1 and ISO 7405.
