Abstract: This CID covers the requirements for a filter assembly, for use in the fuel systems of internal combustion engines, modified for use as an air filter for air-powered, bleed air, control valves (see 6.1). Intended Use: The filter covered by this CID (NSN 2910-01-437-6885) is a component of the M56 and M58 Smoke Generators. It is used to supply filtered air to the air-operated valve that controls the release of bleed air from the gas turbine engine.
