Abstract: This Standard specifies the preparation of test specimens taken from butt welded test pieces for one-run and two-run technique in steel using submerged arc welding consumables, and flux cored wires for gas sealed arc weld and for self sealed arc weld. This Standard does not apply to the welded joints using electro-slag and electro-gas arc welding consumables. NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. ISO 15792-2: 2000 Welding consumables-Test methods-Part 2: Preparation of single-run and two-run technique test specimens in steel (MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ IEC Guide 21-1.
