Abstract: This specification establishes requirements for the design, manufacture, performance and acceptance of the Chaff, Countermeasures, Air Launch, Type RR-( )/AL, herein referred to as the Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures. The Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures (radar reflector) contains components capable of creating confusing returns to radar systems operating within specified frequency ranges. Intended Use: The Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures RR-( )/AL is a chaff loaded unit and is intended to be used to dispense a chaff cloud to create a simulated target, decoy, or other types of radar confusion. The Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures is intended for air launch from "A" size Sonobuoy Launch Platforms in various aircraft.
