Abstract: The equipment covered by this specification shall be of one type and shall provide for the reception of signals from radio sonobuoys to provide sonobuoy homing and on-top position indicating when used in conjunction with direction finder equipment. Intended Use: This equipment will be used in Navy ASW aircraft to provide sonobuoy homing and on-top position indicating. It will serve the same purpose as Receiver, Radio R-1047/A with 31 channels of radio frequency vice the 16 channel capability of the Receiver, Radio R-1047/a. The additional 15 channel center frequencies are interspaced at increments of 375 kc midway between the existing 16 channel center frequencies.
