description abstract	This specification covers wheelbarrows for commercial, institutional, and home use in transportation of construction and other materials. Federal specifications do not include all varieties of the commodity as indicated by the title of the specification or which are commercially available, but are intended to cover only those generally used by the Federal Government. Wheelbarrows covered by this specification shall be of the following types, classes, and styles as specified (see 6.2): Type I - General utility. Class 2 - Large capacity. Style A - Steel pipe or tube frame and handles. Style B - Wood frame and handles. Type II - Contractors. Class 1 - General purpose. Class 2 - Concrete. Intended Use: The wheelbarrow is intended for manual transport of small loads for short distances.
