MSFC-PLAN-3431
EPB (EXCITATION POWER BOX) RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN
Organization:
MSFC - NASA - MSFC - Marshall Space Flight Center
Year: 2005
Abstract: This plan applies to the risk management of the EPB under a fixed budget and schedule. The objectives, goals, and mission success criteria for the project are documented in the EPB Project Plan (MSFC-PLAN-3430).
PURPOSE
This document describes the RM (Risk Management) as tailored to the MSFC (Marshall Space Flight Center) development of the EPB (Excitation Power Box) for the ET (External Tank) Project in the Space Shuttle Program. This plan is consistent with development of OTS (Off the Shelf) hardware and will utilizes processes consistent with Marshall Work Instruction "Off-the-Shelf Hardware Utilization in Flight Hardware Development" (MWI 8060.1) and Space Shuttle Program COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) requirements in "Flight and Ground System Specification, Book 1" (NSTS 07700, Volume X, Book 1, Section 3.3.7). This plan is prepared in response to the requirements/guidelines of NPG 7120.5, NASA Program and Project Management Processes and Requirements, MWI 7120.1, and Program and Project Planning, MWI 7120.6, Program/Project Risk Management.
