Abstract: This handbook provides a comprehensive glossary of Mapping, Charting, and Geodesy (MC&G) terms commonly used within the Department of Defense.
This Glossary applies uniformly to designers, producers, and users of MC&G products.
These terms apply to both internal and contractual development efforts by the Military Departments, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Organization of the joint Chiefs of staff, and the Defense Agencies of the Department of Defense (DoD), collectively known as DoD Components, and to all levels involved in the preparation and maintenance of MC&G products.
This handbook is UNCLASSIFIED.
