Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for the 76-millimeter, 62-caliber steel cartridge case, herein referred to as the "cartridge case." Intended Use: The 76-mm, 62-caliber steel cartridge cases, when assembled with their appropriate projectiles, primers, and propellant charges form complete rounds which are used as service ammunition in the Mk 75 gun mount. These cartridge cases are designed for military use and have no equivalent commercial application.
