Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of the CCU-123/E Impulse Cartridge, referred to herein as "cartridge." This cartridge is also known as the Earth Anchor Cartridge, and is used in the LEA-20 Lightweight Earth Anchor. Intended Use: The cartridge is intended to explode and split open the end of a tube to form tines and produce an underground camouflet in the earth around the end of the tube. This cartridge is used in the LEA-20 Lightweight Earth Anchor, which is used in the construction of expeditionary airfields.
